בקיץ האחרון שבנו לישראל אחרי שש שנים בדרום מזרח אסיה. את החזרה יזמה ביתי העולה לכיתה יא’ מתוך רצון להספיק ולחוות קצת מהילדות הישראלית עליה שמעה בבית. שלושה חודשים אחרי הנחיתה בארץ פרסמתי פוסט נרגש בעקבות חזרתה הנלהבת מהטיול השנתי הראשון. הפוסט, הביא איתו גל של שאלות מהורים מתלבטים שביקשו להושיב את הנערה לשיחה ולנסות להבין את החוויה המטלטלת שעברה מזווית הראייה שלה. מכל השאלות שנשלחו אלי בעקבות אותו פוסט בחרתי לפתוח בזו שמבקשת להשוות בין התחושות לפני המעבר לאלה שאחריו. ‘אני ממש רציתי לעבור’ ביתי מסבירה. ‘באתי בטוב. ועדיין’, היא מספרת ‘פחדתי מהכל ומכלום. פחדתי שלא יהיה לי טוב, שלא […]

איך חוזרים – זווית צעירה למסע

בפוסט קודם הבטחתי להכנס לפרטים בנושא השלמת הפערים במתמטיקה. מאז, התפרסמו בפורומים בהם אני חברה מספר פוסטים של הורים מודאגים בנושאי מתמטיקה בכלל והפער בלימודי הגאומטריה בפרט. מפגש מוצלח עם אתר “מלומד” ותחושת הביטחון של ביתי בעקבות העבודה איתו זירזו אותי לשבת ולכתוב קצת על הדרך שלנו בחזרה אל מתמטיקה כיתה יא’ בישראל. עם קבלת ההחלטה על החזרה לארץ, ביקשתי קודם כל לבדוק האם אכן קיימים הבדלים בין תכנית הלימודים במתמטיקה בישראל לבין התכנית בבית הספר הבינלאומי. לשם כך, חרשתי את הרשת  בחיפוש אחר תכנית לימודים לכיתה יא’ (4 יחידות במקרה של בתי). באתר משרד החינוך לא מצאתי תכנית רשמית […]

What would best explain the complex concept of TCK? In a workshop today I chose to introduce the concept through the personal story of my son.
